This restriction remains in effect until the physician successfully completes a Clinical Competency Assessment in the areas of the indications for and the use of operative delivery treatment such as vacuum extraction and the use of forceps. The physician as well as affiliated hospitals and other health care facilities are required to submit documentation that she is in compliance with this restriction. When the physician is deemed proficient in the areas of these operative delivery treatments, she will be allowed to resume the use of these techniques and she will be placed on probation for three years.
